Orovada Consulting delivers rigorous environmental consulting, geospatial analysis, and strategic media production for government agencies, land managers, and mission-driven organizations.
Field-grounded environmental analysis and regulatory support for land managers, developers, and public agencies navigating California's complex permitting landscape.
Professional spatial analysis and mapping services backed by 15 years of experience with the BLM — including roles as Geographer, and Ecologist across resource, and infrastructure projects.
Authentic, field-tested content creation for brands that want to reach audiences who care about the outdoors, conservation, and the working landscape.
Orovada Consulting was founded by Janyne Little and Andrew Johnson — a husband and wife team combining graduate-level environmental science expertise with a combined 30 years of private, local, and federal land management experience across GIS, ecology, monitoring, and resource management.
We work in the places most consultants only map from a desk. We are a highly mobile, field-tested team with extensive experience across California and the Great Basin, building direct knowledge of the landscapes we analyze, document, and tell stories about.
Janyne holds a Master of Science in Environmental Science and Resource Management. She leads all environmental consulting and botanical survey work, with deep expertise in California native plant communities, CEQA compliance, and regulatory agency coordination.
Andrew holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies and Geography (Environmental Analysis & Resource Management), and a Minor in Biological Sciences. He brings 15 years of federal and partner experience with the Bureau of Land Management — serving as Geographer, Ecologist, State AIM lead, Monitoring Coordinator, and Assistant Field Manager — and leads all geospatial analysis, mapping, and media production work.
Whether you need environmental permitting support, GIS analysis for a land management project, or authentic content for your brand — we'd love to hear about your project.
